My photography is about people connecting with them and showing their everyday lives. Cuba is fantastic for documentary photography and each week I thank God for my life. If I have any ambition at all, it is to be a member of an agency like Magnum, but only if I can live in Cuba forever.
My images almost always have the human figure as the main protagonist and reflect the memories of my rural childhood. As a photographer, I try to weave stories around each snapshot, and as part of the whole, reflect on the ways of life, customs, and traditions that over time may or may not last. rce
